Just purchased a 2005 Corolla XRS with 141000 miles to replace my 4 door Jeep Cherokee Sport (5spd 4wd) as my DD (threw a rod through the block).

Previous to this my wife had a desert sand mica (we just called it champagne) 04 Corolla, it was basically kept stock.  Bent one of the steel wheels and got a steal (free with tires ~$200) on some Celica wheels that we painted black and tinted the windows.  Had that car until someone ran a red light and T-boned it ~2013.  I also own some classic domestic iron, however, the military has dislocated me from it so looking forward to some possible light modifications to this car.

Welcome and nice car.  There doesn't seem to be too much activity on this site but still a lot of good information to search threw.  Check bragging rights section for modified/built XRS to get some ideas.  I had the same exact color and year.  It was a very fun car for a Corolla.  Had the 03 S before the XRS and what a difference.  First experience with lift was awesome and addicting.  Good luck and post your progress.

Hey all that responded,

Thanks for the warm welcomes.  Sorry that I didn't acknowledge it earlier but the website wouldn't load for me.

Welcome. One of my more fav colors, too.  Quite a bit different experience than your average "American Iron" automobile.  So, what's your job/duty keeping you away from, car-wise?
