Weird Clutch Feel

Hello all! Newbie and 2006 XRS owner here. This is my first post after lurking around the site for some time now. I'm hoping to gain some feedback into an issue I've been having with my clutch pedal.

About two months ago I swapped out the clutch slave cylinder (with OEM part) and every since then my clutch pedal has felt much lighter. It's not "spongy" but it doesn't have the athorative feeling as before. I bleed the system twice myself then twice again at two dealerships (was getting despite). They inspected everything and said it looked fine, the pedal free play is within spec., etc. I personally cannot find leakage around the slave or the master cylinder and my brake fluid level doesn't change with time. I'm at a loss. It very well could be that the pedal is actually supposed to feel this light and I'm chasing a ghost problem, but reading around the internet indicates changing the slave cylinder shouldn't change the pedal feeling. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Just let it wear in!  I believe your jumping the gun too early.  ;)

since you changed your clutch it's probably the new pressure plate. Sometimes manufactures play with leverage to make disengagement easier. As long as you can accelerate in 2nd from 1200rmps you are not slipping.

Thanks guys!  FinalGear, you're probably right as nothing else with the car has changed since changing the slave cylinder (the car shifts well still for instance).  Perhaps it is time to sit back and just make sure no real issues arise.  I'm sure my wallet would appreciate that too lol.  Hughesjasonk, the clutch and pressure plate were not touched just the slave cylinder.  The clutch should be good for go for awhile...when I bought the car the previous owner had a new clutch installed at 74k.  The car is up to 105k as of yesterday but, I think it was Perfection (?) OEM spec clutch.  We'll see how it goes :rolleyes:

oem clutches are very light in the first place. I think you'll be fine. if you have stock lines air bubbles generally work their way out over night.
