I had been still lurking a little, not bothering to login, just check up on a few builds, etc. I had been debating getting another corolla for daily use, but since I'm getting a truck for the wife, I'll be taking the Mazda to daily drive. Just wanted to drop a last update.

Build complete.

Final pic, build done.

All work done myself, car is a monster.

Twin disk carbon clutch
Turbonetics 78mm dbb turbo with billet wheels
1000cc injectors
ZL1 Fuel pump (good for 700ish, maybe a little less)
ADM fuel pressure control module (to utilize upgraded zl1 pump)
AEM boost, oil press, and AFR
Turbonetics evolution 38mm wastegates
Turbo smart blow off valve
Huge 4" thick intercooler custom made specific for the 2010+ Camaro SS

Probably more I'm missing, but you get the idea. Come spring when after I finish moving to New Mexico, and tax return comes in, a built motor is going in. Or at least being built and delivered in case I destroy this one. It will be 418 or 427, full forged. My end goal is around 1000whp and torque. My first dyno with no upgraded pump and 7psi of boost was 515whp 506wtq. Since then I've had mail order tunes to adjust for the larger injectors, upped boost, and bigger fuel pump. I kicked the living s*** out of a z06 a few days ago in a roll race. He told me he was cammed, stalled, bolted and making 500 something according to his last dyno. I put 2 car lengths on him in third, from 60ish to 110. I may update this after my next dyno.

Holy s***! Dude...sick. How was in turbo install on the Camaro vs the Rolla? Does it run good?

...your moving to New Mexico?! Where? It's gotta be either Clovis at Cannon or Kirtland in Albuquerque. I work on Kirtland :)

Well the corolla wasn't a bolt on affair like the Camaro. I tried slapping multiple things together with the corolla to save a few bucks, and we see how that turned out. This time around I did the same in-depth research about what my platform can handle and the products available. I ended up deciding on the turbonetics single turbo kit because I got a a hell of a deal and it came with literally everything including plugs, wiper and coolant overflow reservoir relocation kit, etc. I opted for the slightly larger turbo with billet wheels and dual ball bearing. Came with a diablosport intune (which I already had) and the base tune is amazing. I have yet to dyno tune as I'm awaiting bigger pump install and boost controller.

You missed one place in new Mexico, Holloman AFB! That's where I'm going. But we should definitely meet up and grab a brew.

Meh. Been driving it for a month with this setup, no issues. Including 4 drives a weekend of 2 hours or so. Regardless, I've been in contact with turbonetics about the clearance issues as well as the t line off the bottom. (I have to run a 90 right off it unnecessarily adding two bends because it would otherwise hit the downpipe.)

Alright here's some videos. First video was shot from a distance to really show how loud the turbo spool itself is.Coming from the right side in the video, may need to turn volume up a little.

Second video is for the exhaust. It sounds fantastic under boost. Also, "straightpiped" from the turbo back. (No resonators, no mufflers, etc. just 3" the whole way.)

Bad ass!

Maybe have the camera man stand on the grass on the median. Probably hear the turbo spoon much better.

While you're at it. Take some in car shots too :D

Dude that sounds amazing. I can only imagine what the MP's are gonna say as you roll up to the base gates. I get weird looks and questions like "why are you swerving to get over the speed tables...?" and "is this a Corolla...?"

I say because I'm slammed, I will get stuck on the speed tables and yes...it's a Corolla... with the heart of a Lotus lol.

I'm not quite slammed yet but I'm pretty close. The exhaust also hangs a little lower, I have to take every speed bump at an extreme angle lol. I'm thinking about making or having a shop fabricated a 1/4" skid plate to line the whole bottom of the car. I ran something over the other night (still don't know what it was) and popped up and ripped my drain line off. I stopped to check to make sure everything was okay and saw oil just gushing out. Lucky there was a pepboys just down the street and I was able to buy a 5/8 union and some hose just to limp it home. Pissed me off.

That is my only real problem on where those turbos sit. If you do a skid plate I would do it from the front all the way to the back that way you have some aero

If you do a skid plate like that, you'd have to take the entire thing off to do any maintenance though. Seems like a PITA.
