This is my second Corolla radio that had the CD changer die, so I'm hoping the Scion radios are a bit more reliable. Has anyone used one, if so which model? I see some of them even have a touch screen and GPS?

I think you'd be better off going aftermarket. Easier and probably cheaper. Otherwise, never used any Scion radios so I can't answer that.

Yeah man. USB all the way. I used to have a long ass flash drive sticking out. But I bought a microSD>USB thing and yanked the microSD card out of an old phone. The adapter is about the size of a quarter so it's VERY small and doesn't attract much attention. I don't take my CD's ANYWHERE! Music on an SD card is much, much more convenient

Does the 6 disc CD changer still work?

I definitely want a unit that is well matched to the size of the hole! Nothing like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.

Definitely aftermarket for those features plus bluetooth connection is pretty awesome also for phone functions and streaming Pandora and running phone apps.

Yes sir up until the day I switched it out for aftermarket. Crazy issue though and I did post a thread about it, I tried to install the XRS hu into an 06/07 Corolla S and when we turned it on, it started to smoke so we shut it down. I plugged it into my car later on and it was fine. IDK...you are still welcome to it or both.

Get some wires and hook it up to a car battery. Then itll turn on and you can take them out lol
Just make sure you get the correct wires and ground it good and you should be fine

Find the correct pin for each wire
